Ozetta was born on September 13, 1950 to the union of Hosea and Georgia Avery. Ozetta was preceded in death by her father and her eldest son Sylvester Jones. Ozetta was the third child born to this union of ten children. Ozetta accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age at the Good Hope Baptist Church by the late Reverend Rance Whiteside.

Ozetta AKA, Rose Nooda, Moon Dog, Messy, Auntie Zett and ZZ, attended school in the San Francisco Unified School District and completed her education at Balboa High School. Although Ozetta would joke about "living tax-free" she worked at the Hunters Point Naval Shipyard. Ozetta loved being with her family and cooking was one of her passions and gifts. Music was another passion of hers; Luther Vandross was one of her favorite artist.

On Saturday, February 7, 2015, God called his child home to be in Glory with Him as her reward. Ozetta leaves to cherish her memory, her children Georgezetta, Deliah and Johnie (JR) Rogers; four grandchildren- Ranai, Miesha, Dayja and Omar; and two great-grandchildren- Layla and Leah. Her memories are also cherished by her loving Mother; eight sisters- Marie White, Dorothy, Willie Mae Wilson, Ruth, Daisy Avery-Braxton, Louise, Odell, Vanetta; one brother Dave; brother-in-law Wallace Wilson Jr; Darryl Jones- fiance' to Deliah and Audrey Frances fiancee' to JR; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.

Although we will miss her physical presence, memories of Ozetta will live on in our hearts forever. We will never forget how Ozetta lived life on her own terms, stayed neutral with everyone, and loved her family. We thank God for blessing us with the time we had with Ozetta here on earth and we know we will see her again on the other side. Ozetta will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
