Jabar Banks, son of the late John Leroy Banks and the late June Marie Braxton Banks was born on December 14, 1974.

He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior uniting with Jubilee Christian Center in San Jose, California and was baptized as a public confession of faith by Pastor Michael Cantwell.

Jabar was educated in the San Francisco and Daly City Unified School Districts. He graduated from Westmoor High School in Daly City and attended De Anza College in Cupertino. Jabar was accepted into a Computer Training Program at NASA at 18 years of age. He continued in his endeavors to become a Network Engineer and was employed by NASA for three years, Connectix for five years, Pay by Touch for two years, Verizon Business for two years and Evolve Software for four years.

Jabar was loving, gregarious and kind. He was always the life of the party. He was funny, loved to laugh and to travel to exciting places. He was adventurous and loved to ski and skydive. He loved his family and made everyone feel like they were his best friend.

He met and later united in holy matrimony to Patricia Martinez in July of 2000. The union was blessed a daughter, Olivia June Banks, whom he loved more than anything.

Jabar departed this life on December 7, 2014. He leaves to cherish his precious memory, daughter, Olivia June Banks; ex-wife, Patricia Martinez; brother, John L. Banks, Jr.; sisters: Malika Densby and Leah Banks; brother-in-law, James Densby; four uncles: Adam Banks, Floyd Banks, James Trujillo; four aunts: Cecilia Wilson, Madeline Mitchell, Ruth Thompson and Darlene Novoa; five nieces, three nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
