Mr. Ellis "Ray" Johnson, son of the late John S. Johnson and the late Willie D. Johnson, was born in Jackson, Mississippi on May 25, 1943.

He accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior at an early age and was baptized as a public confession of faith in Christ.

Ray received his education through the Pittsburg Unified School District and graduated from Pittsburg Senior High School in Pittsburg, CA. He was an avid bowler and loved fishing.

Ray was employed with Coca Cola Bottling Company for 27 years. He met and later united in holy matrimony to Faye Blanton in Reno, Nevada.

Ellis "Ray" Johnson transitioned to glory on April 15, 2015 and was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Blanton; his parent, John S. and Willie D. Johnson; and two brothers: Houston and Henry S. Johnson.

He leaves a legacy of memories to be cherished by his children: Carrie Villa; Antone "Dino" (Lisa) Johnson, Sr. and Tracy (Marcus) Muldrow; sister, Dana Y. Ridge; girlfriend, Latasha Hall; nine grandchildren: Antone R. Johnson, Jr., Devon R. Johnson, Marcus D. Muldrow, Jr., Julian D. Johnson, Trayvon M. Muldrow, Joseph B. Villa Jr., Kennedi D. Villa, Destanie F. Muldrow, and Mar'tray D. Muldrow; and great-grandchild, Jordan C. Johnson-Moore; and a host of other relatives and friends.
